Control Method for Universal Smart Power Module Considering Wireless Communication

A universal smart power module (USPM) has been studied as a modularization method for rapidly developing converters with various specifications. Herein, control is proposed three-phase modular multilevel converter composed of USPMs. The autonomous balance the suppresses variation in voltage cell capacitor and disturbance caused by communication delays. This enables application versatile extension method. Moreover, current droop effects delay variations wireless eliminates system instability interference between modules. Based on experimental results steady-state load-fluctuation responses simulated implementation, deviation from command values line less than 5%. Furthermore, improved all modules 9.70V to 1.94V. validate effectiveness environments.
